“Somewhere Over the Rainbow” has to be one of my favorite movie songs. I love the sweet lyrics and can recall watching Judy Garland sitting on that haystack effortlessly singing all the while inspiring us to dream our dreams….
The other day while driving home with the children, Big B said to me, “Mommy this is the kind of weather that makes rainbows appear…” and within minutes, we looked up in the sky, pulled the car over and enjoyed this magical wonder. It was the first time the children have ever seen a rainbow and the awe in their eyes took my breath away. “and the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true.”

so sweet. i managed to take a video the first time my daughters saw a rainbow, and it really is a wonder to see it through the eyes of the young.
I could barely take a picture! I loved seeing their faces, and hearing my older child tell his younger sister all about it! It was such a special time for all of us!Have you shown them the video recently?
Love the picture
So beautiful! We have some crystals hanging in Baby’s room and he LOVES when rainbows appear on his wall in the morning
Oh crystals in baby’s room? what a great idea! I am sure he is mesmorized by the sparkles and rainbows!
Such sweetness
I wish I remembered to take a picture of their faces, but I was just looking at them look at the rainbow, and couldn’t pull myself away!
Cute! And beautiful picture.
Thank you! Wish I had an actual camera to capture the real beauty!
I also love the song “Somewhere Over the rainbow”. It is a great song to sing to children. We have frequent and beautiful rainbows here in the Pacific Northwest!
What a special moment! We lived in Hawaii for 3 years, and rainbows are common there, but my girls and I would get so excited each time we saw them. We even bought our girls a little rainbow maker night light for their room because of how happy they were to see them.
