UNREAL sent us a family size box filled with chocolate bars, candy coated chocolates, and peanut butter cups. It was a good thing that it was a family size because that box of treats quickly vanished. We of course tried each and every variety in order to give you our honest opinion….all in the name of research, you know!?
UNREAL candies and chocolates are delicious! We enjoyed the chocolate caramel nougat bar the best (put it in the freezer…yummo!) We enjoyed each variety and thought the quality, taste and appeal of each one was top notch! I will admit that my least favorite was the Candy Coated Chocolates, they were good, but I’ve always been a fan of another candy coated treat (unfortunately, the kind that is horribly bad for me!)
The UNREAL mission is: “We believe that all junk food can be made differently, with better ingredients, without the junk, with great taste, and people don’t have to pay more for it.”
We are not huge on junk food here but when I want a snack, I prefer it be good for me (at least better) while tasting great and satisfying my craving.
What stood out to me most about UNREAL was the lowered sugar content and increased dietary fiber.
UNREAL treats DO NOT contain :
- Corn syrup
- Artificial preservatives
- Hydrogenated oils/fats
UNREAL Treats DO contain:
- Real cane sugar
- Real milk from cows that graze on grass not corn that is GMO, and don’t use artificial hormones and antibiotics.
- More protein and fiber
- More cacao -almost twice as much as other leading brands
Great taste, better for you and you don’t have to pay extra for all the goodness!

Just spotted these at the pharmacy the other day–cool to see the website! I’m a Reese’s junkie, so it was interesting to see that the Unreal version had 11g of sugar, compared to 21g in the traditional product. Thanks for the nice giveaway!

I love chocolate peanut butter cups Unreal has 11g Reese’s has 21 g. Big difference.
The UNREALl 8 has only 17 grams of sugar per 49 gram bar (0.35 grams sugar/gram bar), while a Snickers has 30 grams of sugar for a 58.7 gram bar (0.51 grams sugar/gram bar).
Ingenious! I’ll have to keep an eye out for them.

I love peanut M&M’s, it was quite shocking to find the sugar difference in these at 25g for the “real” thing & the Unreal product only at 16g!!! That’s not much higher than the orange at 11g!!

I tried the peanut m&m- like candies the other day, and was shocked to see that they only had 16g of sugar (conpared to 25g in the real m&ms). Makes that mid-afternoon candy attack a little less guilt ridden haha

Saw these at the pharmacy the other day and tried out the caramel nougat one. It was really good! And the fact that it has only 19g of sugar vs 35g for comparative candy. Normal candy has way too much sugar for me, so Unreal candy is just bloody fantastic.
The snickers version has 17g of sugar compared to 30g in the original.
