This weekend the US Marine Toys for Tots mission begins. Children can be part of giving to others in need by creating a bear at one of the many “Build A Bear” workshops. My children are fortunate enough to have all that they need or could want. Unfortunately, many children are not in the same position. If you attend any Build-A Bear workshop and create a bear for a child for the upcoming holiday season, you’ll receive $3 off your own purchase.

Make Furry Friends for Free to Donate to U.S. Marine Toys for Tots Foundation
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20 – 21, 2012 – During Stuffed with Hugs™ weekend, more than 25,000 furry friends will be made and given to less fortunate children through the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. Build-A-Bear Workshop® invites the first 100 Guests at each of its U.S. stores to help make stuffed animals for free to give to children in need of an extra teddy bear hug this holiday season. As a thank you, Guests who participate in Stuffed with Hugs will receive a coupon for $3 off their own furry friend. The stuffed animal making process will take place during regular store hours each day and continue until all 100 furry friends are made in each store. Stuffed with Hugs provides the opportunity to give a gift to children who otherwise may not receive presents this holiday season.
